Thrombin inhibitors

  • dabigatran (Pradaxa)

  • Idarucizumab (Praxbind)
  • Activated charcoal if recent ingestion
  • Dialysis will also help
  • Activated factor VII may help
  • 4- or 3- prothrombin complex concentrate might help

Coagulation Factor Xa inhibitors (notice they all have "Xa" in their names)

  • rivaroxaban (Xarelto)
  • apixaban (Eliquis)
  • edoxaban (Savaysa)
  • betrixaban (Bevyxxa)

  • Recombinant coagulation factor Xa, aka andexanet alfa (Andexxa)
  • 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (4F-PCC, Kcentra, Feiba) if andexanet alfa is not available
  • 3-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (3F-PCC) only if 4-factor prothrombin complex is not available
  • Activated charcoal if recent ingestion
  • Activated factor VII may help
